JokeSleuth is an easy to use searchable personal database of great humor with some of the funniest jokes on the net. A help file is provided with the program which should explain most of the basic functionality. As new suggestions arise to make the use of JokeSleuth easier, this Frequently Asked Questions page will be updated with items that may not be addressed adequately in the Help file.

Program interface appears garbled with large gaps if Windows XP system display is set to Large DPI here:

Q: How can I copy a joke from JokeSleuth and email it to a friend?

A: You can copy any joke out of JokeSleuth once you have purchased and registered the software. Until then copying them out of the program is restricted. Once you register, the database will update to more than 1000 jokes and you can copy them by one of two methods:

1) Select the joke you want to copy so it appears in the bottom righthand 'Joke Details' pane of JokeSleuth (where you read the joke). Then use "Copy out" from the Edit menu which will copy the joke to clipboard... and then you can simply paste the joke into an email using the combined keystroke CTRL+V or Edit/Paste from your email menus.

2) As a second option you can right click in the Joke Details pane and choose "select all" from the rightclick menu. Then rightclick again and choose Copy to copy the joke to Clipboard. then paste normally into your email or other document.

Q: How do I register JokeSleuth?

A: To register the program, just use the Purchase/Register menu in the main JokeSleuth program interface to copy and paste in your name and serial number as received when you purchased the program.
